WWIAG and Community Action
At the request of local residents, WWIAG has served as a conduit for addressing issues
concerning religious diversity in our community. Examples include:
- In Weston we have helped create community discussion about concerns that
could potentially arise when publicly-scheduled local or school events conflict with
religious holidays and services.
- Our Leadership members have helped to raise awareness and sensitivity
of the local school system (including superintendant, principal and teachers) to
the importance of students' religious holidays.
Our experience has proven that these responses to residents' requests have helped to foster
further understanding and appreciation of Weston's increasing diversity.
